We'd like to think that when Lauren & Beau are old and recounting the story of how they wed on Scotland's Isle of Skye, that they'd recall how only the sheep were witness to it, how the gusting wind and surging waves sang them down the aisle, how time stood still.
Looking out to sea, as the light danced on the horizon, we were all left with a feeling that Nature had woven a magical spell in which these two lovers had become as entwined as the rain within the protection of her clouds.
"Our souls have known each other a long time," she cried. "We've been at home with each other ever since."
Lisa & Steve // Scottish Highlands
Time often takes us by surprise in the unfolding of life. How is it we ended up standing here, now, in the delicate strands of our journey to find each other?
We’ve crossed oceans, climbed mountains, made our way through urban jungles all to say I am here with you and that is something time will never change.
Mélanie & Matthieu // Dalhousie Castle
Parisian couples always seem to exude a certain air of sophistication in the most understated of ways. You'd imagine Mélanie & Matthieu sipping coffee on a cobbled street corner in Montmartre, browsing pages of books in Le Bibliothèque Mazarine, strolling down the banks of La Seine some evening in spring.
Yet they chose to swap Parisian couture for Scottish heritage and a year after Matthieu surprised Mèlanie at Dalhousie Castle by asking her to be his wife, they returned for an intimate wedding day.
These two are writers and their love of words and romance was evident throughout their day, choosing to hold on to each other through any version of who they find themselves to be. "I promise I shall stay beside you, from the field of reality to the ocean of dreams, from close shore to distant star."
Sara & Michael // Dalduff Farm, Ayrshire
There is something about telling a story that these two absolutely own.
Of course, as actors, this is to be expected. Yet without the necessity for words, Sara & Michael pull you into their unfolding fairytale...his glinting glances towards her, her delicate touch of his hand, the overflow of emotion in the ways they both laugh or in the path of a solitary tear.
It all conspires to weave together a timeless love story in the here & now, celebrated in style and surrounded by family & friends.
Julia & Michael // Crear, West Coast
“I know that love can be loud and jubilant. It can be dancing in the swampy mud and the pouring rain at a festival and shouting “YOU ARE FUCKING AMAZING” over the band.
And I also know that love is a pretty quiet thing. It’s a lying on the sofa together drinking coffee, talking about where you’re going to go that morning to drink more coffee.
I know that love happens under the splendour of moon and stars and fireworks and sunsets but it is also a quiet, reassurring, relaxing, pottering, pedantic, harmonious hum of a thing; something you can easily forget is there, even though its palms are outstretched beneath you in case you fall.”

Corinne & Matt // Lake District, England
We like journeys that bring us back to our beginnings, perhaps transformed, a little different, more whole. So it was with Corinne & Matt, returning from their lives overseas to Matt's home village in the iconic Lakes for their wedding day.
Our morning began early with a swim off the pier, a favourite pastime of Matt's childhood. Then back to the cottages where he grew up and he & Corinne got ready to say “I do." The day was simple - join together at one end of the village then walk to the other to celebrate.
These two embody each other...no beginning or end. As expressed through the poetry of Norman MacCaig during their ceremony, “Knowing the way a circle would describe its roundness, we touch two selves and feel, complete and gentle.”
Nena & Dani // Ibiza, Spain
Love was always meant to be indelible, inked under the skin like a lover's tattoo whose beauty is worth the pain and time it takes to heal.
And so it is that love always finds a way of drawing souls together. For Nena & Dani, Ibiza is where their lines connected and freedom coloured the space between.
Naturally, they returned to where it all began, gathering their tribe under Ibiza's autumn sun to say "Soy tuyo para siempre." The grace and style of love's art embodied in each other's arms.
